DO YOU ONLY TREAT HORSE RIDERS?
No, our services are available to anyone. We take a specialised interest in the equestrian athlete, but have experience treating people from all walks of life and from many different sporting disciplines. Please feel free to refer any non-horsey family and friends!
WHAT ARE THE CLINIC OPENING HOURS?
From November 2017 until March 2018, the clinic will only open on a Monday. We apologise for any inconvenience. Please contact us directly for all equine physiotherapy appointments.
Monday - 10.00am - 8.30pm
DO I NEED A DOCTOR'S REFERRAL TO ATTEND?
No, not if you are a private patient.
If you intend to claim under worker's compensation or third party insurance you will require a doctor's referral. We also accept patients under the Enhanced Primary Care scheme.
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?
An initial appointment is 45-60 minutes and a follow-up appointment is 30-45 minutes. If you have more than one area to be assessed and treated an extended 1 hour appointment can be booked. We know that you are busy, and will always endeavour to run on time for your appointment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
For physio: If you have a doctors referral and any xrays/scans please bring these with you. Please wear appropriate clothing that will allow the physio to easily view the injured area, loose gym clothing is ideal. If you have any footage of yourself riding this can be very helpful!
For pilates: Comfortable clothes that you will be able to move and stretch in easily. Please bring water and a small towel. Mats are provided.
HOW LONG WILL A EQUINE PHYSIOTHERAPY APPOINTMENT BE?
This will depend on what we are treating. Typically you should allow an hour for the appointment, up to an hour and a half if we want to see the horse under saddle.
